So, as we were checking out of the hotel on Saturday, the manager asked us where we ate the previous night.
“Pasta Moon,” we told him. “Mmmmm”
“Good choice,” he said, and then told us this story:
There were some Charles Schwab employees staying at the hotel for a conference. He had made a reservation at Pasta Moon for five of them, and then they asked if he could call and add a sixth. When he called he got the owner on the phone and she said, “Is he coming?”
“No, just some people who work at his company.”
“OK, I just wanted to make sure. When he comes I give him the private room.”
It turns out he really likes Pasta Moon, and people still recognize him from his TV commercials, so she gives him some privacy.
