I am a wife, mother, technical editor living in Cary, NC, a suburb of Raleigh. We are California natives, but moved here in March 2008 from the San Francisco area for a less frenetic, less expensive way of life. Our 9-year-old son, Max is developmentally delayed, has apraxia and cataplexy. He is a funny kid and a quick learner. He loves reading and music – especially U2, The Police and Lady Antebellum. Before having Max, I worked in newspaper as an editor and designer for a decade. When Max was 4, this tech editing gig fell in my lap. My husband also works in tech, but is a writer at heart. He wrote a humor column for 6 years and is compiling them into a book. Check it out here: stayingcrazy.com. We are donating the proceeds to the Miracle League of the Triangle, the special needs baseball league our son plays in.
